On Friday, December 22, 2017, Ardis went to be with the Lord and many of her loved ones who have passed on before her.Ardis radiated a spirit of gentle grace and love without condition; it was felt by all who knew her.Ardis attended 1st 7th grade at Sherman School and her 8th grade year at the Red Owl School. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army in 1961, Bob and his family moved back to Rapid City and to Lead in 1962 where they resided until his death.
She leaves behind her husband, Monte; daughter, Kristie Sierra; son, E. (Christina) Snyder; and grandchildren, Larissa Mayhew, Rylea Joyce, and TJ Snyder.
Survivors also include her mother, Merne Gibson; brothers, Jack (Deb) Gibson, Jim Gibson, and Jerry (Beth) Gibson; sister, Tracy (Doug) Patrick; Sturgis family in-laws, Gerie Ericson, Lavina Goddard, Tom (Betty) Goddard; mother-in-law, Anna Goddard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday, January 6, 2017, at the Lead Assembly of God Church in Lead at a.m. Committal services, with military honors will be held at Black Hills National Cemetery on Monday, January 8, at a.m.
